The Bullets had another epic battle on their hands but showed signs that the team is starting to find its shape in an encouraging second half.
Eton Wick dominated the proceedings early on, with Antony Jeffries blasting home twice and Max Ivall, Freddie Tyson and Kane Smith making it 5-0 by half time.
But the visitors had not had it all their own way, with George Jensen seeing one enterprising drive go wide, and Bullets' man of the match George Clifton firing past the post from a corner.
After the break, the Bullets started to settle into a formation that will really give them something to build on.
Sacha Shadloo, Jamie Coulson and Jensen continued to tackle hard and fearlessly, while keeper Max Grant looked increasingly assured and pulled off a couple of fine saves.
Fin Palethorpe was once again a dynamo in midfield, looking easy on the ball and launching several piercing runs deep into the Wick half. He was well backed up by the energetic Tom Schilling.
The Bullets almost got a consolation in the dying seconds when a fierce free kick from striker Clifton was parried by the keeper.
Ivall scored his second for Wick in the second half, and Declan Hughes also netted.
Afterwards coach Roland Schilling said: "We are a new team this season and we still have a lot to learn against many well-established sides.
"But we keeping fighting and I think we are showing some real promise."
