New boy Jack Symmonds banged home a brace and George Clifton was also on target as the Bullets responded to a no-nonsense half time pep talk from frustrated coach Phil Parsons to snatch an exciting victory.
The Bullets had looked half asleep on the lush Ellington turf in the first half, with the visitors opening up a two goal lead by the interval.
Symmonds and Findlay Cassels both had chances before the break, but the half was most notable for the absentee Bullets midfield, which too often looked keen to attack but less enthusiastic about getting back to support the unflagging Ethan O'Brien, Will Parsons and keeper Sam Lloyd.
"If you carry on like this they'll get shedloads in the second half," snapped the normally mild-mannered Parsons. "If you want to play in midfield, I expect to see you helping our defenders as well as going for goals.
"Don't leave our defence on its own. I expect better in the second half."
Parsons backed up his frosty blast with some smart tactical thinking, moving Findlay Cassels back to support O'Brien and Lloyd in defence, with Connor Jones taking on the keeping duties.
And his rousing team talk was also soon paying dividends up front, with Clifton following up to slot the ball home after his initial shot had only been parried by the Burnham keeper.
The rest of the half belonged to Symmonds, who had already caught the eye with his terrier-like determination, strong running and sure touch on the ball.
He levelled the scores when he sprinted through to fire into the net, and then capped a splendid fightback when he again spliced the defence with a scintillating run before knocking in confidently for his second.
And there was time for one more pulsating moment as Jones pulled off a courageous save to preserve the lead as he found himself standing alone against the Burnham strikeforce.
