The game started fairly evenly, both teams creating half chances in the opening minutes. Then slightly against the run of play, Shinfield took the lead when Boyne Hill failed to clear from a corner.
Boyne Hill drew level when Siwi Krasaetho raced clear of the defence to slot the ball past the keeper. BH took the lead shortly after, when Siwi again ran on to a long goal kick from Tom Watts and beat the keeper once again.
Shinfield then applied pressure which resulted in two quick goals before half time, to leave BH trailing at the break.
The second half got off to the worst possible start with Shinfield increasing their lead with a lob from the edge of the area.
Some great saves from Tom Watts & excellent defending from George Lewis kept BH in the game.
The breakthrough came with about 10 minutes remaining, Jack Galloway picked out Daniel Molloy on the right who in turn put George Forrester through to reduce the deficit to one goal.
A corner from Ross Brown, was flicked on by Seb Goldsmith at the near post and headed in by Siwi to complete his second hatrick in successive matches. There was still time in the final seconds for Henry Forrester to find his brother George bearing down on the keeper, but his shot when agonisingly just wide of the post.
